Better look at the claw.
On the elm stick, I decided to do a bit of carving. I left the roots long and have carved the body of a bird on each. One is a falcon (or hawk), the other three are pheasants. The falcon (or hawk) is swooping down on a group of pheasants in tall grass. Most of the carving thus far was done with knives and rasps, since my Dremel was "misplaced" when the GF decided to tidy up the garage.
Both are works in progress.
