Butternut slab.

Just got a nice 2" thick slab of butternut. Some good looking handles coming soon.

That's a beautiful wood. I've never heard of butternut. What's it like to work with?

I like working with butternut. It is a bit like working with walnut. But it is not quite as hard, It holds detail very well, These are all butternut projects.
