In 1974, I supervised coring northeast of the York Canyon mine, west of Raton, NM. A USGS report stated that the Upper York Canyon coal seam had probably been intruded by igneous activity. The coring confirmed my suspicions, and I saved some of the basaltic core. I now have some sentimental rocky toppers.

I have the "Peek" of Pike's Peek . It was the highest rock on the summit . I was llowed on the military base at the top of the mountain . This was my keepsake , a piece of red granite . How do I find someone to make a cabashawn of this stone ? Any ideas ? OH ! and YES I love your cane . Brillient idea .
