I have many unfinished sticks that my son was curing. What is the best kind of oil to use to finish these sticks? Thank you for any response.

I like Tung Oil, Boiled Linseed Oil is also good. Both take several coats with a day or so between coats to build up a good finish.

I think that it's personal preference. Appearance, feel, maintenance, and ease of application, all are likely factors. I've used 100% tung oil, the Formby's "tung oil", Danish oil, and all kinds of marine spar varnish. Now I've returned to Tru-oil which I used 55 years ago to finish gun stocks. I was surprised to find that it is still made, earlier this year.

Little over 7 months until Retirement - then more time for woodworking and sticks!

I am soooo ready to move! Prepping the house to show is getting very tedious and annoying. Why did I buy a house?

Hope you are now settled in your new home! We moved six years ago, and said this was the last, the home before the home. Now she's talking move again! ;-)
