New maple root cane

This one is pretty much done. Maple root cane. When looking it over initially, I found that the roots were spaced in such a way as to almost fit my fingers in between, sort of like the sub-hilt on a fighting knife. I took away enough wood to make it comfortable while trying to maintain the root-y look. Some really cool grain in the backside of the handle which my poor photography skills really don't do justice to. It's one of the things I really like best about roots, the grain can be pretty amazing.

That is a cool one.  I'm jealous of that heavy clay soil of yours.  The places I look for sticks there's generally a big tap root heading pretty much straight down.  Good natural handles are hard to find.
